THE PALACE GUEST HOUSE: HOUSE RULES
The Guest House reserves the right of admission. Positive identification may be required from guests while on premises.
Check-in time is any time after 12h00 or as soon after as the rooms are ready. Check out time is 10h00 Am.
When booking venue for events, half the quoted amount must be paid immediately and remainder 7 days before the event
A discount of 10% is given only for bookings of 30+ days or 30+ guests and on upfront payment before check in. No refunds are given on discounted prices. Authorized events may start at 10h00 am but must end at 6h00 pm. Setting up can start earlier
Maximum of two adults per room/bed is allowed except Room 13/as arranged. Use of own bed/bedding is not allowed.
Guests are advised to provide correct contact details of themselves & next of kin contactable e.g. for lost & found /incidents
Guests are advised to view rooms before paying since no refunds or room swapping is allowed after checking in.
Cancellation of reservation must be communicated four (4) days before check in date. Otherwise guests forfeit paid fee.
Activities/behavior that are outside the law or prohibited by law are also not allowed in the Guest House.
Early check-out does NOT entitle guests to refund. Only an unused day/s (not hours) may be used within one month all at once.
Any disruptive behavior, excessive noise, rowdiness, will lead to immediate removal without room fee refunds.
Cancellation may be done only 7 days before check in. Guests are allowed to defer to another day and to spend such within 30 days.
At Management’s discretion, a refund may be given if written notice is given 7 days b4 check-in, provided other guests were not refused & no discount was given. If notice was not possible only deference is allowed. If refund is given, 10% handling fee is deducted.
Should electricity, water or other disruptions/shortages occur, Management will make alternative arrangements. If no alternative, at own discretion, for prolonged disruptions, Management may give credit for days (not hours) to be spent later or refund in 30 days.
NO cooking is allowed in the rooms. Cooking is allowed in the main kitchen, small kitchen, upon extra payment and at the Cabin
NO parties, celebrations, decorating etc. allowed in the rooms. (no balloons, glitter etc. ) except in common rooms & by arrangement
NO smoking in the rooms. Smoking may be done only in designated areas. Transgressors will be fined double room fee.
NO guests’ belongings will be stored before check in & or after check out. Items left behind will be disposed of without notice.
NO moving of furniture in the room or equipment is allowed. Please do not bring extra/remove any item from the rooms.
NO guns, dangerous, combustible, inflammable items/equipment may be brought onto the premises.
NO idling/revving of cars/engines, or loud car noise/car washing is allowed in the Guest House yard.
NO animal/pets may be kept in the rooms without arrangement. Vicious/dangerous animals/pets are prohibited altogether
Where permission is given for harmless pets, the pets owner remain responsible for the safety of others and to prevent nuisance.
NO parking is allowed in reserved parking bays. If you mistakenly do, you may be asked to move your car/or it may be moved
NO noise, allowed on the premises. If the noise can be heard by others then it is loud. The Guest House’s decision is final.
NO room swopping is allowed unless authorized. Guests must use only the rooms allocated to them.
Swimming is allowed up to 10h00 pm. Swimming must be done with decency & consideration for others (minimal noise, no nudity).
Guests use all the pools at own risk. Guests are advised not to use the outer part of the pool at House 106 as it is the deepest.
Guests are advised to take reasonable safety and security precautions e.g. locking up their rooms. The Guest House/Owner & all employees are not responsible for any injury, death, loss of and or damage to property brought into the premises
Guests who choose to take the key with when leaving the premises will pay a replacement if they loose it
Guests should report, replace/pay for items lost or broken in their rooms during their occupancy.
All rooms must be cleaned daily except in special circumstances, which must be clearly explained,
The Guest House reserves the right to conduct body and luggage search when the need to arises.
Upon check out (10h00 am) Guests must promptly leave, failing which a day fee must be paid. No hanging around in/outside gate.
Management reserves the right to amend these rules without notice to guests. Guests should request latest version from Reception.
Breaking of rules and or instructions may lead to expulsion without refund and or banning of guest from Guest House.

LONG STAY ROOM INFORMATION:
The Palace Guest House has 14 rooms/units as follows:
Executive rooms with own ablution & balcony = R850
Standard rooms with own ablution= R700 & R750
Group rooms with shared ablutions, lounge & dining areas = R600
Family interlinking rooms for R250 per guest sharing bed & ablution facilities: 1 room sleeps 4, another sleeps 3 guests). A minimum of 6 guests or payment of R1 500 is required. Full price for 7 guests= R1 750
A cabin (wooden house), self catering. Has 2 rooms that sleep max. 4 guests =R1000 per night. A minimum of 4 guests or payment of R1 000 is required.
MEALS INFORMATION:
Standard breakfast is available on prior request at additional R100 .
Dinner & lunch can also be prepared on prior request.
VALUE FOR OVERNIGHT GUESTS:
Prices paid include access to the following at no extra cost:
a pool (swim @ own risk)
braai places,
dining, lounge & other common areas if not exclusively booked.
Day visitors to guests:
A guest staying alone at full price is allowed one visitor at no extra cost. Extra visitors pay R150 for access to common or entertainment areas.
EVENTS INFORMATION:
Casual Day visitors to outdoor facilities pay R150 irrespective of length of stay. Latest time stay= 18h00
Special Events like picnics, baby bridal & showers, birthdays, anniversaries etc:
Outdoor= R150 per guest
Indoor = R200 per guest (2 areas)
Events catering & deco is available on request. Price is dependent on guest’s specifications.
Events time = 10h00 am to 6h00 pm. Setting up can start earlier at owner's discretion.
When booking rooms/venue for an event you pay half the quoted amount ASAP and remainder 7 days b4 event
OTHER/OUTSOURCED SERVICES:
Body Massage at extra cost, can be organized for a guest, couple or group.
Massage Chair is also available. Ask at Reception.
Swimming lessons may be arranged. Fee=time dependent.
HOUSE RULES:
Detailed rules are available at reception/rooms.
Maximum guests per room is 2 unless differently stated.
Check in starts from 10h00 am or later when rooms are ready.
Check out is 10h00 am promptly to allow cleaning.
Activities not allowed in rooms include: smoking, drinking & partying, There are designated areas for these.
Vicious/dangerous pets are prohibited. Any pets brought onto the property remain owners responsibility who must also ensure safety of others.
A specific quote can be prepared after your choice of rooms & services.
Electricity, water or other disruptions/shortages In the unfortunate event disruptions occurring, management will make alternative arrangements to accommodate the guests n may in suitable cases, at own discretion, give credit days to be spent later or refund within 30 days
